2003 VW Passat Wagon for Sale

Jan 16

I’m amazed at how difficult it is to sell a car without going to a dealership or using a 3rd party service like CarMax. I’d rather not get taken to the cleaners using a “middle man”, but it definitely eliminates a good bit of hassle. The point of this post is that we’re putting our 2003 VW Passat Wagon up for sale. It’s in perfect condition and we’ve outgrown it due to another baby on the way. I could go into all the details, but please feel free to check out the Autotrader and Google listings. Here’s a photo of the mean machine in all of its beauty:

Sometimes, peopple can overcomplicate things. We’ve always sold our cars ourselves the old fashioned way . . . putting an ad in the Dallas Morning News. You will sell the car that way if the price is correct.

  2. Thanks Henry. We actually listed in the DMN and only received a single response. I’m in discussions with a guy from College Station that heard about it through cars.com. It’s crazy because I’ve received more interest with private companies wanting to help me sell than those wanting to buy it.

If you search for this car on-line you’ll have a hard time finding it since we’re in the mix of all these dealers trying to get rid of their inventory. Kinda frustrating that dealers have leveled the playing field by using the same on-line services as consumers.

Do you still have the VW? If so, how much is it?
    Thanks!

  4. Sorry, we sold the Passat wagon a long time ago.
